The Last of Us -pelissä Tessille äänensä antanut Annie Wersching on kuollut 45-vuotiaana. Hän vangitsi myös hahmon liikkeet motion capture -tekniikan avulla.
Werschingillä todettiin syöpä vuonna 2020, mutta hän ei ole kertonut julkisuuteen minkälaisesta kasvaimesta diagnoosissa oli kyse. Häntä jäävät suremaan aviomies sekä heidän kolme lastaan.
The Last of Usin lisäksi Wersching on näytellyt mm. 24, Timeless, Vampyyripäiväkirjat ja Star Trek: Picard -sarjoissa.
Lukuisat näyttelijän kollegat ovat ilmaisseet sosiaalisessa mediassa osaanottonsa hänen poismenonsa vuoksi. Myös Naugty Dog -studiolla surraan Werschingin kuolemaa.
